Jason Heyward and Austin Jackson: Pretty Good Rookies, Huh?

Jason KimCorrespondent IApril 6, 2010

Jason Heyward of the Braves.

Austin Jackson of the Tigers.

Pretty good 2 rookie outfielders for this year, huh?

Jason Heyward entered the 2010 season with a blast, hitting a homerun in his first at bat. People were even more excited because of the fact that he was the #1 prospect according to MLB.com. MLB Network calls him the most prized prospect since Ken Griffey Junior. That's saying a lot for a 20 year old.

People have every right to be impressed with Heyward: he can hit for power, steal bases, and field well. Who wouldn't be excited to have him as your starting RF?

Austin Jackson was the Yankees' best prospect until they traded him as a part of the 3 team trade that sent Curtis Granderson to the Yanks. He has a great, balanced swing, and is the starting outfielder for the Tigers. He has a bright future, as he has some speed, too.

Don't you agreee that these two are pretty good rookie outfielders for one season?
