let me 1st start off by saying seemingly, the philadelphia eagles did a pretty good job communicating with donovan mcnabb during trade talks with other teams, or so it seems.

in appearance through various media outlets and during andy reids press conference, it would lead us to believe they kept donovan in the loop with each twist & turn. in relation to the washington redskins its sad to say that jason campbell didn’t get the same treatment.

john keim of the washington examiner, who has been covering the franchise at redskins park for many many years broke the news initially to campbell. keim replayed the phone conversation after the mcnabb deal was made public.

below is an excerpt from that conversation:

keim: did you hear about what happened?
jc: what?
keim: the redskins traded for donovan.
jc: really? ummm... i didn't know that, man.
keim: im sorry I had to be the one who told you. I can't believe they didn't tell you.
jc: no, that's the first I heard of it. ... id better go call my agent.
