Green Bay's Offensive Line: Looking At Each Position
The 2009 season was a struggle up front. Green Bay gave up 51 sacks in 16 games. That was an NFL worst. It was not all bad, the play picked up by the end of the season, only giving up 13 sacks in the second half of the year.
To be fair, Green Bay's line suffered through injuries the entire season. a few draft picks and a clean bill of health should take this group out of the slums of the NFL, and make this guys at least average.
Left Tackle
2009 Starter: Chad Clifton
Expected 2010 Starter: Chad Clifton
When healthy Clifton is still a solid Tackle in the NFL. Problem is he can't stay healthy and he continues to get older. He was able to play most of 2009, not allowing too many sacks but committing a lot of penalties. He often was unable to finish games, which at times caused problems.
2010 Second String: This player will likely come from the draft. There is no player on the current roster who is really built to be a Left tackle at such a high level. Expect Tackle to be addressed early in the upcoming draft.

Left Guard
2009 Starter: Daren Colledge
Expected 2010 Starter: Daren Colledge
Many would argue Colledge will not be the starter next season, and they will try Spitz or a player from the draft here. I disagree and believe Colledge still has the ability.
Colledge was a great player his rookie season in 2007. He was Green Bay's best interior Offensive Lineman. I believe Colledge with his job in jeopardy will start playing like his old self.
2009 Backup: T.J. Lang, Evan Dietrich- Smith
Don't be surprised to see Green Bay address their lack of depth in the draft.

Center
2009 Starter: Scott Wells
Expected Starter 2010: Jason Spitz
Jason Spitz saw his 2009 season ended do to injury. His back injury landed him on the IR for 2009, but he should be healthy for next season. Scott Wells played well in his spot. he was a strong spot on a weak line. Despite the fact Wells played well, he could be upgraded . If Spitz returns to full health he will be one of Green Bay's better Lineman.
2009 Backup: Evan Dietrich-Smith
Adding depth to center is a strong possibility in the draft.

Right Guard
2009 Starter: Josh Sitton
Expected 2010 Starter: Josh Sitton
Sitton was the best player on the line last season. He was the most consistent player, never missing plays because of injury and he never played anywhere but Right Guard. While the rest of his line was in ruins early in the year he was playing well, and he continued that strong play the entire season.
He played at a Pro Bowl level and should be a starter for some time.

Right Tackle
2009 Starter: Mark Tauscher
Expected 2010 Starter: Mark Tauscher
Like Clifton, Tauscher was re-signed this off-season. He was paid a good amount of money so expect him to be the starter next season.
Green Bay signed him mid-season to help out Green Bay's struggling line. Tauscher replaced Allan Barbre who proved he still needs a lot of work.
Tauscher played very well at the end of the season, and was a big part of Green Bay's late season resurgence.
T.J. Lang has shown a lot of potential and should be a solid starter when Tauscher retires, or if he is injured next season.
2009 Backup: T.J. Lang.

Conclusion
Expect Green Bay to take a few Lineman in the draft. Next year should be much more successful for this line group.
