World Football Game Recap: Stockport County 1-1 Walsall

Stockprot rooted to the foot of the League One table and outplayed Walsall at Edgeley Park.

It only took Stockport 26 seconds to get a shot on target, as David Kilmartin did extremely well to block George Donnelly's goal bound effort.

Stockport was in total control of the game now and on 26 minutes Richie Partridge's corner was headed goal bound by Paul Huntington, only to be blocked on the line by the hand of Troy Deeney who was sent off for the offence.

Jabo Ibehre stepped up and sunk the penalty to give Stockport the lead.

Stockport continued to prove a threat in this game and had numerous chances to double their lead, but wasted numerous efforts.

Ibehre and Donnelly both wasting one-on-ones.

Walsall undeservedly got back into the game two minutes into the second half.

Steve Jones' corner was cleared by the Stockport defence, but Julian Gray scores a peech of a goal from an obscure angle to level the game.

Stockport continued to press, but to no avail.

Paul Turnbull came the closest making Gilmartin dive full length to save an audacious shot from distance, but the Sadlers held on to a draw.
