The 10 WWE Draft Picks That Must Be Made
On April 26 the episode of Monday Night Raw after the Extreme Rules Pay Per View and possibly The Rock as guest host it is time to shake things up in the WWE again. Yes my fellow writers it is the WWE Draft. Over the years we have seen draft picks that take us by surprise and the draft picks will usually have a profound effect on their new roster. But after WrestleMania I think that the WWE really needs this draft to happen to make the brands more competitive and entertaining. I have taken some thought into writing this article and I have picked ten superstars, five for RAW and five for SmackDown who I think should be the draft picks and I'll explain to you why they should be and what important role they should play.WWE I hope you're reading because I have some ideas for you.
The ''flagship'' show of the WWE, has been absolutely frustrating and not entertaining these days. There are many reasons for this and I'm going to tell you the main reasons why we don't need to see them. These are the problems RAW needs to do:
1) Get rid of the guest hosts-I know that this guest host idea will probably bring A-listers to appear on WWE and could put WWE on the tabloids and make them prominent with headlines of all kinds but the hosts are not entertaining as they think they are. The WWE Divas have been disgraced each and every week by pointless matches and the guest hosts taking up promo time for boring humor. I love humour in wrestling but at least it should be able to make you laugh till you cry.
Hornswoggle Out: I am sick of this guy and his stupid promos. Little People's Court was a waste of promo time yet funny but after that this guy's been pretty useless. If you wanna use him make the humour he's in at least laughable not infuriating.
Push Up The Young Talent: I don't know if it's blatantly obvious but we are TIRED of John Cena as WWE Champion. Look at RAW's midcard: MVP is capable of being a good champion especially if you make him heel, Jack Swagger is an amazing wrestler who has the confidence to cut a good promo even with the lipse, Christian should be WWE Champion right now, Kofi is an amazing athlete who can make it more competitive and Carlito is an amazing competitor who can cut a promo and has already held all the gold except the WWE or World Heavyweight Championship. And by the way if you don't remember Christian is a two time NWA World Champ and two time ECW Champ which makes him a four time world champion and we know he deserves a fifth world title reign. Carlito wrestled for the World Wrestling Council and held the WWC Universal Heavyweight Chammpionship, which is a legitimate world championship by the way, 11 TIMES! Carlito is an 11 TIME WORLD CHAMPION at the age of 30 and still isn't good enough to become WWE Champion?! That is rubbish in my opinion. If you dont believe me go to Wikipedia. The WWE needs to make RAW a competitive brand like it used to be and not revolve around one guy winning it no matter what happens.
Get A General Manager: Stop the Guest Host Crap and get a damn GM already
R-Truth has no direction on SmackDown at the moment so I think if it's time to make the World Title Hunt competitive why not draft the two time NWA World Heavyweight Champion to RAW and let R-Truth stay in the main event scene and since he gets over with the crowd so much why not let him run at the gold or to really get fan support since the WWE wants to get over with the kids, imagine R-Truth saying ''Wassup'' with the WWE Championship around his waist. The kids will go nuts and the WWE can be happy with the PG era and then they can go back to PG13 this summer and we know that most people won't mind R-Truth in the main event rather than John Cena.
You must be blind if you haven't noticed Dolph Ziggler's craft in the ring improve. He is definitely one of the best young talents in the WWE and has brought us some of the technical wrestling that we crave for and receive from guys like Jericho and Punk on SmackDown. So why not let him spread his technical prowess on Monday Nights and build a main eventer there. Since RAW obviously has a very strong midcard with the likes of MVP, Kofi Kingston, Yoshi Tatsu and the king of that midcard The Miz let Ziggler mingle with such competitors to make him really good and the way they do this is if MVP is pushed up and have Ziggler relieve Miz of all those championships and have him win the United States Championship and continue to build into a great wrestler. All I have to say is draft Ziggler to RAW to increase the competition and become much better than he already is and that is how we will build new main eventers for the future.
Although Matt Hardy didn't win Money In The Bank his momentum has been quite good as he's been doing good in matches and it's even gone higher because of his talented rookie, Justin Gabriel who is an amazing athlete and is one of the favourites to win NXT. And I think the purpose of the draft should not only be to build new main eventers it should also be the opportunity for guys who've worked up the ladder so hard and deserve a World Championship reign. Matt is one of those men. I think Matt should get right into the main event and should get the recognition as a a main eventer that he truly deserves and we all know it is about time that happens.
To be honest I think RAW is where Kane should be because that show has always suited Kane and the WWE should draft him there because he's just wrestling regular matches on SmackDown. Kane's first WWE Championship reign was too damn short so I think the best idea is to turn Kane into a monster heel who should destroy all of his opponents mercilessly and be the twisted demented ugly guy we all know he can be and not only that have him wreak havoc on RAW by having a long World Title reign. That could truly make things interesting there on RAW so WWE here's an idea on how to use the Big Red Monster.
Let me ask you a question-Is there any reason for Batista being on Friday nights right now? I don't think there is because when he was WWE Champion he did not make one appearance on SmackDown and him moving to SmackDown in the first place didn't make sense at all so Monday Nights are where Batista should be at the moment and the way to make use of him the most besides winning a world title is doing this: Keep Batista heel at all costs and have him cost Cena the championship to hopefully a midcarder who's ready to make a jump or a very deserving veteran and have them feud for a long time keeping the both of them out of the title hunt. Please WWE, to make full use of Dave, draft him to RAW.
Right now SmackDown is lucky that it has truly amazing wrestlers on it's brand right now and is probably the reason why everyone is still watching the WWE. I give the creative team credit for bringing Chris Jericho,CM Punk and Mysterio on SmackDown last year. These three are world class athletes and have been utilized properly and they make SmackDown much more entertaining and competitive. But if you look at the roster, SmackDown is by far the best show where they can put the younger guys in the main event and if they are two guys who should be there then I'll mention them now and this is the only problem which needs to be sorted out on SmackDown:
John Morrison: Morrison is a truly amazing athlete who many people consider to be ready for the main event jump right now but there's one problem: John must become heel. His mic skills aren't that great as a face but they were immense when he was a heel on ECW alongside The Miz. So launch Morrison into the main event and make him the arrogant heel we used to see on The Dirt Sheet which means Morrison Heel World Champ=Entertainment
Shelton Benjamin: Shelton is an amazing athlete who's won all the gold except a World Championship and we all know we need new main eventers so don't they think it's about Shelton main events? ENOUGH SAID.
Now here are the SmackDown picks:
A lot of people were thinking that Ted would be a main eventer after splitting with Legacy but we've seen that things have really gone different. We saw on RAW the way he treated his father after the match and to my suspicion Ted is going heel. I know Rhodes will be out for some time so I think it's time they develop Ted into a great singles wrestler so why not draft him to Friday Night Smackdown. Here he can really be a legitimate singles wrestler and if they want him as a main eventer let him start by letting him feud for the prestigious Intercontinental Championship and let him and Mr. McIntyre feud for the gold or if Orton comes to SmackDown have him cost Randy championship matches. In my opinion without Cody Ted can't be in the tag title race so those ideas are useful to utilize him as a singles wrestler and if Cody is to come back on SmackDown let them revitalize the Tag Team Division. That is why Ted needs to go to SmackDown.
I don't know what you think but I think Triple H was amazing when he was on Smackdown especially with his 7 month WWE Championship reign and his matches with the likes of Edge and Jeff Hardy and that was when SmackDown was undeniably the best show even better than RAW. I feel that after Extreme Rules he might be done with Sheamus and there is one specific reason I want Triple H to go to SmackDown. I wanna see him and you wanna see him as what he always been that damn good at being: A Heel Wrestler.Look at SmackDown: the heels there are Jericho, CM Punk & McIntyre basically and the face stars are undeniably Edge, Rey Mysterio and The Undertaker. And with the way I think the draft should go then why not Triple H be a true cerebral assassin. The best way to do this is for him to either feud with Sheamus in a kind of interbrand feud or what I think should happen to let the young guns main event is to have him in a long feud with The Undertaker. These are the two guys everyone loves to see in a match and they haven't fought each other enough times. They could start it off by Triple H giving him a serious beatdown and the motive could be Undertaker retiring HBK and let the brutal matches commence as this gives other guys a shot at the top and maybe we'll see Triple H main eventing some other time. In conclusion SmackDown should help The Game reinvent himself.
We've seen it and we can't deny it, Orton is face. At least his work in the ring is still the same and his legendary pose is back after a whole year without it, like Triple H, SmackDown is where Randy can really reinvent himself. I think the best way to do it is to either have Ted Dibiase cost him every chance he gets at the WWE Championship and start a feud or have him work his way to number one contender and feud with the World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger. I also think that since most main eventers should be in feuds and the midcard should get competitive for the Intercontinental Championship the Age Of Orton could commence once again and Friday Nights will definitely be better to watch then some guest host crap on RAW.
Captain Charisma-Christian. Four time World Champion, Nine time tag team champion, three time Intercontinental Champion, One Time European Champion, one time Hardcore Champion and one time Light Heavyweight Champion. Truly one of the best wrestlers in the world right now who still hasn't been given the main event push he deserves. I don't know how long WWE will keep this up because this is going to become fatal for the company if they don't make Christian a champion. Let's face it, Christian was actually a big factor in bringing TNA onto a global scale. He gets a bigger crowd reaction than your Supermen and let's be honest he should have been in either RAW or Smackdown feuding for a World Title the day he returned. And do I think he can be used on RAW?-No but no SmackDown-Hell Yeah!! Draft him onto SmackDown and launch him right into the World Championship title hunt against Randy, Jack Swagger and hopefully John Morrison. Christian is my number 1 choice right now to be World Heavyweight Champion and for the WWE to be way ahead of the competition Christian should be in the title hunt and be utilized to his maximum potential.
The All American American World Heavyweight Champion, Jack Swagger! Finally Jack has been utilized like he should have been the day he came to RAW and from the shocking Money In The Bank win to the World Title we have now found a new main eventer in the form of Jack Swagger. But the best way to carry on this momentum is to have Swagger draft to SmackDown where he can comepete with harder competitors like Jericho and Edge to make him better than they already are and to become a great world champion. That's my opinion on the draft picks which should be made to make the WWE entertaining and feel free to comment and let your opinion be known. Thanks for reading.
