August 28th, 2009, Jeff Hardy vs CM Punk for the World Heavyweight championship and the loser leaves the WWE. I knew right away that this match was Jeff Hardy's for a while due to nagging injuries but little did we know it was all going to go downhill from there.
September 11th, 2009, Jeff Hardy is caught with several drug trafficking and possession charges in his home in North Carolina. This caused Jeff to have a preliminary hearing to see if further trials were needed. Jeff's legal problems obviously didn't allow him to go back to the WWE for a while.
January 4th, 2010, On this date TNA was holding their "live" monday night Impact edition. Several rumors had been stated saying that Jeff Hardy had signed with TNA. Early on in the show Jeff Hardy indeed come out but that didn't prove if he signed with TNA yet.
March 8th, 2010, This was the permanent move of TNA to Monday night to compete with Monday Night Raw. The main event ended with Hulk Hogan, Abyss, and The Pope D'angelo Dinero being beat down by AJ Styles, Ric Flair and Desmonde Wolfe. Then all of a sudden.. Jeff's old TNA theme hits and he comes into the ring and saves the other 3 men.
Ever since then Jeff Hardy has been competing in matches on TNA and seems to be building momentum with Rob Van Dam. Now I don't know where Jeff is gonna go from here. He may get a World Title shot and even a possible reign but honestly TNA and Jeff Hardy doesn't need this.
If Jeff is really just there for fun and a break before going to WWE. But that depends on his legal issues. If Jeff wants to return to WWE then he shouldn't become TNA champ and just be there for star power and "fun".
Thanks for the read
