The FCC Should Hand Out Fines To Brett Favre
I'm sorry, folks. I think Brett Favre is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, even if he isn't in my personal Top Five. However, I can't stand these stories on Favre. I love ESPN, but for God sake's guys—enough is enough!
People wanna talk about Nipplegate. How about Favregate? You know, the event that has occurred this summer. Oh wait, you HAVEN'T HEARD?!
The story of the summer: Favre highjacks headlines. Brett Favre hints at coming back. He puts the Green Bay Packers in a tough predicament with Aaron Rodgers. He spends an absurd amount of time with ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
Then, Mortensen proceeds to indulge us on how Brett Favre is a good guy and a "little kid" just wanting to play football.
I'm tired of this Favre crap. I'm sorry for not being politically correct in this article, but I'd appreciate more coverage on the Cubs or White Sox than the epic Favre vs. Green Bay saga.
I just hate when SportsCenter ends up being the TMZ of football. Also, Brett Favre is not the only football player—or person in general—ever to get through tragedy.
He's certainly not the only player who didn't like the way his career ended. Maybe Brett should have a chat with Dan Marino. At least Favre had a chance to go to the Super Bowl in his "final" year.
Bottom line: Favre says he wants to come back. Packers are uneasy about it. Case closed until more news follows!
Until then, show us some more baseball or arena football. The FCC should really look into fining Mort or Favre for this terrible media-covered soap opera.
Actually, how about just every football news outlet gets fined? Sounds good to me.
P.S.: Stephen A. Smith's thoughts COMPLETELY SUM UP my feelings and this article.
