2010 NFL Draft: Is Dan Williams the Next Miami Dolphin?

Should the Dolphins choose a DT with their No. 12 pick in the first round?

The Dolphins need to draft a NT/DT due to the aging Jason Ferguson. Also, Ferguson will be suspended for the first eight games.

Miami is desperate for a DT that can plug up the middle. Paul Soliai has proved to be a DECENT replacement.

However I have my speculation that Miami will be using its 12th pick on a DT now, due to Tony Sparano coming out and saying Soliai needs to step it up. Sparano may have just been making a statement, but he also may have been implying they are going to make a different move in the first round of the draft.

I think Dan Williams definitely would be a great addition to this football team, but there are risks. In my opinion, at the DT position there is less risk than in the drafting of a WR, who needs to learn all new routes, learn a team, and learn the NFL. DT has a similar position to college, and there may be only little things to tweak.

I like Williams going at No. 12, but the Dolphins may have something else in mind. We shall find out in less than a month who qualifies for the Dolphins' top spot.

Where can I comment?
