HAS ANYONE THOUGHT THAT BRETT MAY HAVE FOUGHT TO KEEP HIS JOB THE LAST 2 YEARS

DAVID DEPREOCorrespondent IJuly 12, 2008

IF BRETT LOVED THE GAME AS MUCH AS HE SAID HE DID (AND THERE IS NO DOUBT FROM ANYONE, THAT HE DID), HE MAY HAVE HAD TO FIGHT TO KEEP HIS JOB THE LAST 2 YEARS.  KNOWING HE LOVED THE GAME.  HE COULD MAKE SOMETHING HAPPEN TO A TEAM HE LOVES AND THE FRONT OFFICE WANTS A NEW REGIME  HE MAY HAVE HAD TO TAKE TIME TO MAKE A DECISION BECAUSE HE DID NOT KNOW IF HE WANTED TO FIGHT WITH THE FRONT OFFICE TO WIN A SUPERBOWL.  BRETT IS VERY PROUD AND HE IS GOING TO DO WHAT HE FEELS IS RIGHT FOR HIM.  IT WOULD JUST BE TERRIBLE FOR TED THOMPSON IF BRETT MOVES SOMEWHERE ELSE AND DOES GREAT.  HIS HEART WILL ALWAYS BE IN GREEN BAY SO WHY WOULD YOU TAKE THAT FROM HIM.  ALL BRETT WANTS TO DO IS PLAY, WIN A SUPERBOWL AND ENJOY LIFE.  WHAT A DREAM.
