Guy Wilks, former Suzuki Junior World Rally driver and 2007 British Rally Champion is beginning a campaign to drive for Subaru in 2009.

With Prodrive’s Subaru World Rally Team probably creating a second two-car team, Wilks is appealing to fellow Brits to support his campaign, which is launching at the Goodwood Festival of Speed (July 13). "It's so frustrating to sit on the sidelines and watch my old J-WRC rivals Dani Sordo, P-G Andersson, Urmo Aava, Jari-Matti Latvala - all guys I could beat - setting fastest times and taking podiums in the WRC,” said Wilks. The goal for Wilks is to raise 2 Million (GBP) by the end of the year which will award him with a Subaru Impreza WRC and backing from SWRT.
