I know this is an absolute ridiculous scenario, but there is a reason Bleacher Report is one of the best sports web sites in the U.S.
In this mock draft, I have come up with potential picks for next years NFL Draft.
I have used this year's draft order and factored in the trades the draft pick trades that will effect teams next year.
So please do not comment on the draft order, saying that the Redskins will not finish fourth to last again.
Also, a lot of the draft consists of potential juniors that might come out. Please let me know if you think some of these players will come out, or if they will better their stocks by staying for their senior year.
Comments and disagreements are very encouraged.
Enjoy!
No. 1: St. Louis Rams—A.J. Green (Jr.), WR, Georgia
2010 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma
Green decides to come out early and forgo his senior year.
This would make Green the third wide receiver picked first overall since 1984—Irving Fryer and Keyshawn Johnson were the other two.
Green would help Sam Bradford by giving him a legit No. 1 target for years to come.
No. 2: Detroit Lions—Joseph Barksdale, OT, LSU
2010 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraksa
The Lions finally get a franchise left tackle in Joseph Barksdale.
He is a big player—6'5" 315 lbs—and moves like a tight end.
He will provide great protection to franchise quarterback Matt Stafford and provide another needed cornerstone to an improving Lions franchise.
No. 3: Tampa Bay Bucs—Greg Romeus, DE, Pittsburgh
2010 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma
Gerald McCoy and Greg Romeus would become the Simeon Rice and Warren Sapp combination that Bucs' fans became so used to.
Romeus is a very big and very skilled lineman, similar to a more well polished, less athletic Mario Williams.
No. 4: Washington Redskins—Jake Locker, QB, Washington
2010 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma State
The Jason Campbell era finally ends!
The very athletic Jake Locker could not be thrown into a more opportunistic scenario. Russell Okung provides him with great protection, and receivers Devin Thomas, Santana Moss, and Malcolm Kelly greatly benefit.
No. 5: Kansas City Chiefs—Julio Jones (Jr.), WR, Alabama
2010 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Eric Berry, S, Tennessee
Kansas City would land the player with the most upside in the draft.
When healthy, Jones would arguably one of the best receivers in the league.
Dwayne Bowe and himself would team up to be one of the best tandems in the NFL, and Matt Cassell would finally start to earn his huge salary.
No. 6: Seattle Seahawks—Ryan Mallett (Jr.), QB, Arkansas
2010 NFL Mock Draft Picks: Anthony Davis, OT, Rutgers, C.J. Spiller, RB, Clemson
With an aging Matt Hasselbeck, 35 in 2011, the Seahawks take the gunslinger from Arkansas.
Mallett would get a year or two to develop behind Hasselbeck, similarly to Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay.
Anthony Davis and C.J. Spiller would give Mallett some great offensive teammates and a great opportunity to succeed.
No. 7: Cleveland Browns—Patrick Peterson (Jr.), CB, LSU
2010 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Rolando McClain: LB, Alabama
The Browns have long been the laughing stock of the NFL. They only had a winning record twice this decade, and playoff success has been non-existent.
However, with Patrick Peterson things could be looking up.
He would be arguably the most talented and athletic player in the draft and become an instant shut-down corner. Peterson and McClain would team up as one of the most feared defensive tandems and finally give a reason to fear the Browns.
No. 8: New England Patriots (Via Oakland)—Cameron Heyward, DE, Ohio St.
2010 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma State
The Patriots are going to thank the Raiders a lot for this pick.
Cameron Heyward would be instantly plugged into the Richard Seymour role in New England.
There, the massive 3-4 defensive end could have similar career success to that of Seymour, especially in a winning environment like the Patriots'.
No. 9: Buffalo Bills—Anthony Castonzo, OT, Boston College
2010 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame
When drafting a franchise quarterback the only logical next pick would be a franchise offensive tackle.
Castonzo would be that guy.
He is a very tall and athletic lineman, who would be able to put on even more weight and become a potential All-Pro. Look for Castonzo to be very closely followed in the 2010 college football season.
No. 10: Jacksonville Jaguars—Bruce Carter, OLB, North Carolina
2010 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Derrick Morgan, DE/OLB, Georgia Tech
Carter plays very quickly and with a high motor. He would be able to help a struggling defense even more.
If Carter can put on some more weight, and back up his hype with a good senior season; he will almost be a guaranteed first round pick.

2010 NFL Mock Draft Pick: No First Round Pick
No. 12: Miami Dolphins: Jonathan Baldwin (Jr.), WR, Pittsburgh

No. 13: San Francisco 49ers: Ras-I Dowling, CB, Virginia
2010 NFL Mock Draft Picks: Bryan Bulaga, OT, Iowa, Earl Thomas, S, Texas
