Chad Tracy and Kevin Millar Fighting over Last Spot on Cubs Roster

Hunter JonesContributor IMarch 29, 2010

Lou Piniella and the Cubs have one decision left to make; who wins the last roster spot? Chad Tracy or the self proclaimed idiot Kevin Millar? Tracy is the more versatile of the two, as he can play 3B, 1B, RF and LF. The fact that he can play 3rd is important as Millar has not played 3rd once this spring. With injury concerns to star 3rd basemen Aramis Ramirez, Tracy may have the spot because of that. The Cubs could also start the season with Xavier Nady on the DL and keep both for the start of the season with Millar as the backup 1st basemen until Nady is back. Until the final roster cut are announced, it is expected that Tracy will make the team.
