Nick Saban and Alabama Add Gadsden Receiver to Class of 2011

Parker ShieldsCorrespondent IMarch 28, 2010

On Tuesday, the Crimson Tide added another big-time recruit to its 2011 class in Gadsden City's Darryl Collins.

The 6'0", 180-pound receiver from Gadsden chose to roll with the Tide after receiving 15 other offers from the likes of Auburn, Clemson, LSU, Tennessee, and USC.

Collins is already the third wide receiver who has committed to play for Nick Saban and Alabama in the early part of the 2011 recruiting process.

Collins joins fellow receiver recruits Marvin Shinn and Danny Woodson Jr. in a class that has probably seen its last commitment from the receiver position.
