Burnett to Start Sunday

AJ Burnett appears to be starting on Sunday.

On Sunday, when Brain Tallet was supposed to start for Dustin McGowan who is on the 15 day DL, will not. Instead it will be AJ Burnett. Jay's GM JP Ricciardi said that it is not leading up to a trade, yet help Cito Gaston get is goal complete which is to get above .500 before the all-star break. The Blue Jays would need to sweep the Yanks.

In fact, JP said that nothing is in the works, that there are no conversations going on and that he hasn't been shopping anyone yet. JP also said before the game on Wednesday that they are not giving up on the sluggers like Alex Rios, Vernon Wells, Scott Rolen, Lyle Overbay, and Aaron Hill. However, that may not be true. As we approach the all-star break the Blue Jays right fielder Alex Rios has not put up good numbers at all. Alex Rios curentlly only has 4 homers and 39 RBI. Vernon Wells has 9 homers and 42 RBI.

When JP made the comments that he did about Adam Dunn people said that it would be funny if they traded for him, and now.... he is needed in TO. He could replace Alex Rios out in right, and would produce a lot more than Rios. How about this deal:

TO TORONTO:

OF Adam Dunn

SP Aaron Harang

TO CINCINNATI

OF Alex Rios

SP AJ Burnett

Or, you could try to get Eckstein for Encarnacion. Then you could switch Encarnacion to SS and get better on the defence with that move, and Offence.
