I've been a Laker fan all my life and i grew up watching Kobe do his thing in LA. Lately i've been wandering what it would be like when hes gone. Hard to imagine huh. I watched almost every Laker game on t.v. this year and the more i watch him the more I feel like his game is going over the hill.
It hurts to say this but Lebron is taking over the game and all that is in his way is a ring. Now I'm not a fool, I know the Laker's will find a way to recover in the future maybe with a couple trades here and there we can get back to winning basketball games but its going to happen soon and its going to happen.
Now my question is does Lebron have to be the guy to take over the game? Most people would say yes with no thought process but i have a different approach. First off, why does everyone forget about Carmelo Anthony, he's only 26 years old and getting better. You must think i'm crazy but I'm just saying you'll never know for sure until its time. Secondly, have we all forgotten where all these players have come from? Well they all come college and the saying that "there are always bigger fish out there" is 100% right. There will always be someone better then the best but we just don't know it yet. Even with Michael jordan no one knew he was going to be the best player of all time when he was in college and look where he is now.
I'm not saying that there is somebody out there at this very moment who is capable of being better than Lebron or Melo but I am saying that time can only tell who will be the next king of basketball.
