For a team that lost three of its best players and was picked to finish sixth in the Big East, a Sweet 16 appearance would seem like an over achievement.
But after a tremendous year that included a regular-season conference title and a brief stay at No. 1 in the country, the Syracuse Orange had much higher aspirations.
Those dreams were dashed Thursday night, when top-seeded SU fell to No. 5 Butler, 63-59, at the West regional semi-finals in Salt Lake City.
