Denver Broncos 2010 NFL Draft: Five Positions the Broncos Must Upgrade

McDaniels has done a great job of bringing in veterans to fill depth gaps since he arrived in Denver. Though it will take a few drafts to get the players who best fit his system, McDaniels has done a good job of trying to keep the Broncos competitive now.

The Quinn trade brought in a player just as talented as Pike or LeFevour but, at a lower price. Very smart move to bring in a backup who has tremendous upside and is still young. Chris Simms was a huge bust last season in relief of Orton.

Jarvis Green, Jamal Williams, and Justin Bannan will most likely man the three D-line spots. The only way I see that changing is if the Broncos select a natural 3-4 RE early, or decide to stick with McBean/Thomas at RE and use Bannan as the back-up NT. Either way, good job by the Broncos to upgrade their D-line without having to use valuable draft picks.

Having discussed the offseason signings, let's take a look at five positions where the Broncos have to find an upgrade in this year's draft or through trades.
