Earlier i have written this article on why Tim Tebow would be a great fit in Washington.

I have just been reading this article in the Washington Post, where Shanahan is asked about Tim Tebow.

Of course Shanahan could be laying out a smokescreen, but to me it sounds like there is a real liking in his comments on Tebow - these are some quotes from the article:

  • "Here's a guy to me that brings everything to the table. He'll interview with 30 people, work out for everybody [and] when you're with him, he's just an off-the-chart guy," Shanahan said. "Those guys don't come around all the time. Especially with the success that he's had."
  • "I think what everybody was looking at from the Senior Bowl was where he dropped the ball below his waist," Shanahan said. "I think he's doing a great job keeping the ball up high, and I think everybody saw that at his workout."
  • "Sometimes you've got to be able to play the game. You can dissect everybody's game, but the bottom line is how he plays and how he gets it done."

However Shanahan will also be looking at the other top 4-5 QBs in the draft.

Tebow will be drafted late 1st or early 2nd round - but if a team really wants him he could go earlier. But I would love to see him go to The Redskins or The Patriots - they are just great fits for Tebow.

Where can I comment?
