Gilles Simon of France will be looking to have a good run at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Miami this week, the Frenchman has been struggling for form in recent times. Last week Simon was beaten in the 2nd round of the Masters 1000 event in Indian Wells by the Argentine Brian Dabul. Simon reached the only Masters 1000 final of his career 2 years ago, in Madrid beating the World Number 2 Rafael Nadal along the way before losing the championship match to Andy Murray. It will be hard for Simon to win the title this week but if he can find his best form then he has a shot of causing some upsets. Simon’s game matches up very well against Roger Federer indeed the Frenchman has a 2-0 record against the World Number 1. Andy Murray is the defending champion in Miami after he beat Novak Djokovic 6-1 7-5 in the final last year.
