Former Cubs This Spring

Bullpen BrianCorrespondent IJune 1, 2016

Not that it matters, but I was looking at how some former Cubs are doing this spring.

Funny enough, Jerry Hairston Jr. blasted a three-run homer off Rich Harden Sunday.

Harden, by the way, allowed six runs in the fourth inning after giving up a double, triple, home run, and walked in another.

Todd Wellemeyer tossed six scoreless innings Saturday against the Reds. He’s in position to win the fifth spot in the Giants’ rotation.

Joey Gathright is trying to latch on with Toronto. Not looking good, though. He’s batting .200.

If all Gathright had to do was jump cars to reach base he’d be an All Star.

One of my favorites, Jim Edmonds, signed to a minor league deal with Milwaukee, went deep Tuesday and drove in 5 RBI.

Edmonds appears to be in the running for an Opening Day roster spot, but Carlos Gomez has dibs on starting in center field.

Where can I comment?
