It's been four months since I last wrote for Bleacher Report, and it has been far too long by far.

First and foremost, I'd like to thank a lot of people. It was a difficult time I worked in, and a difficult time I worked through. So many people helped and supported me, and I pay this tribute to them knowing I am a better person and writer for it.

So, my list starts with Zander Freund of B/R - a great inspiration, a great leader and his words of comfort and encouragement have not gone forgotten.

Next, to my friends at University - Kaylee, Nick, Alex, Erol, TJ, Talib, Dom, Ted, Jo, Tim, Edmund, Clare, Milly and Rachel - you have all been amazing friends. Thank you.

So why now? Well, I figure now is as good a time as any. It's before the start of the Championship season (the season I will be focusing on this year), and I will be picking up on my threads again - such as the greatest players and the refereeing threads.

I'm back in gear, ready for the challenge and eager to be as controversial as possible all over again!

I'm back!

  1. Hey mate

Good to see you back. I myself have taken rather a back seat recently and I'm now living in Scotland.

Sure our paths will cross again soon.

  2. Welcome back!

  3. Welcome back Simon...

  4. Welcome back Simon, and good luck to Charlton, they should be a Premier League side.

  5. So awesome to see you back on B/R Simon! Ready for some Championship football?

I think you'll find that there have been some exciting new additions to the FIFA Community since you left (Salaar Shamsi, Shyam Parthasarathi, Alby Jr., etc.) while most of the vets are still around (though I haven't heard from Sheikh in awhile).

Definitely make sure to let me know if you need help getting back into the flow of things. Look forward to your analysis Simon—I think your fellow football freaks can take it from here =)

  6. Hey Simon, welcome back mate. I'm out of the football loop right now, but august 15th, I will make my football return on B/R. Looking forward to some Charlton articles mate, some of my family and friends badger me about em!

  7. Simon..great to have you back mate!!
