The day started very early in the morning, at 1:30 a.m., as I couldn't fall asleep. So I got on the Web and the first thing I saw was the rumored selling of the Jacksonville Jaguars franchise by Wayne Weaver. I was shocked and depressed. This was the team I followed since 1999 and now it appeared that talks were taking place between Weaver and billionaire C. Dean Metropoulos. Thankfully, as the day progressed both men stated that no such talks took place and that football in Jacksonville would still be a part of the city.
Crazily, this wasn't the only story involving the Jaguars. As I woke up, I found this. Matt Jones should be cut now. Jones has all the physical tools to be a good player. But his mental capacity is questionable. He's been lackadaisical on the field and doesn't have the work ethic you'd want from a professional player. His time in Jacksonville should finally come to an end.
