With L.T. now a New York Jet and Darren Sproles essentially the only proven running back on the Chargers roster, the San Diego Chargers obviously need to think about selecting a running back in April's upcoming draft.

A finesse back like Sproles who is great out of the backfield needs to be complimented with a power back. The top power back is Toby Gerhart. San Diego sits in a good position to get Gerhart in the 1st round and possibly even in the 2nd if he were to fall that far.

The Chargers have one of the game's best passing offenses but were slowed down last season by a poor running game. If the Chargers were to bring in Gerhart, they would have a great one-two punch of power and quickness. Could Gerhart be a main factor in San Diego claiming it's first Super Bowl ring? Maybe we'll find out.
