Milbourne Will Need Repeat Performance One More Time For Terps To Adance

Al Hondo HandyCorrespondent IMarch 21, 2010

For the Maryland Terps to Advance to the next round they will once again need a repeat performance form Senior Landon Milbourne.

Seniors Greivis Vasquez and Eric Hayes will be there at the end of the day, but repeat play from Milbourne and Jordan Williams will be very important for Maryland to reach the Sweet 16.

Milbourne has averaged 17 points in his last two games, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and has many hustle plays.  He has come up with several keys possessions, like the one he  tapped out to one his teammates, late in the game against Houston, when he could not secure the possession himself.

Milbourne scored 19 against Houston in the Terps first round play.  He could have finished with 21, after receiving a break out pass at the end of game.

Instead of scoring Milbourne showed great Sportsmanship and passed the ball back out front, as the horn sounded.  The move sent a message to all basketball players and fans that Sportsmanship Does Count!, regardless of when and where you are playing.
