College Football's Road Warriors

In a recent article I took a look at the winning percentages of teams over the past quarter century in their home stadiums.

This time the gears are turning toward a different aspect of college football—winning on the road.

Winning at home comes easy at times. However, road trips east coast to west and from southern border to northern can often take their toll on a team and greatly hinder their performance.

So without further delay, I introduce the best college football road warriors from the past 25 years.

25. Iowa Hawkeyes, .522

24. Air Force Falcons, .542

23. UCLA Bruins, .544

22. Colorado Buffaloes, .552

21. LSU Tigers, .554

20. Texas A&M Aggies, .559

19. Clemson Tigers, .563

18. Penn State Nittany Lions, .567

17. West Virginia Mountaineers, .575

16. Virginia Tech Hokies, .589

15. Notre Dame Fighting Irish, .598

14. Alabama Crimson Tide, .605

13. USC Trojans, .614

12. BYU Cougars, .645

11. Florida Gators, .650

10. Auburn Tigers, .651

9. Texas Longhorns, .652

8. Georgia Bulldogs, .668

7. Tennessee Volunteers, .677

6. Oklahoma Sooners, .678

5. Florida State Seminoles, .679

4. Ohio State Buckeyes, .691

3. Michigan Wolverines, .698

2. Nebraska Cornhuskers, .713

1. Miami Hurricanes, .736

*Again, Boise State was a great threat to the list, but unfortunately their short stint in college football has kept them from gaining access to the illustrious group. With a road winning percentage of .619, Boise State would have landed at the No. 13 spot.
