Top 10 People and Players that hurt Baseball.
Here are the top 10 players in major league baseball that have hurt baseball. Some have apologized for there sins. Some flat at refused to apologize. Some many have given MLB a black eye rather its roids or buying up all the free agents not giving other lesser teams a shot. Greed has destroyed the game.
10. Mark McGwire
Why is he on this list? Well The big reason being he confessed his sins. After being hired as the new St Louis Cardinals Hitting Coach. Mark decided that it was time to confess to the world what he had done. He used steroids in the mid 90's but unlike some people he used it to recover from injury so he could play the game he loved. Yes he hurt the game. He may never get in the hall of fame. But you know even though it took him a while he admitted his steroid use with integrity.
By the way he hit 49 home runs while clean his rookie season. He has great knowledge of hitting and he will help make the Cardinals better at the plate without handing out needles to do so.
9. George Steinbrenner
I know why is he starting out with this guy. Let me put you all to rest. I respect the Yankees going to Babe Ruth and ending with Mickey Mantle. But because of this guy it goes to show that you can literally buy or World Championship. He is the one responsible for all the pomp in circumstance the surrounds the New York Yankees today. In addition he seems to employee such confirmed Steroid users as Alex Rodriquez and Andy Pettitte. I think all the Yankee fans are high on entitlement. They think the Yankees should win the World Series every year and f**k the rest of the league.
8. Pete Rose
They called him Charlie Hustle his rookie year he went some 20 years later and broke Tv Cobbs career hits record. He would win World Series with The Big Red Machine. It all came to screeching halt when he was banned from the game he loved for gambling on the Reds. He maned up to it saying he always bet on the Reds to win. That he never shaved points to lose. Still Pete you broke the most sacred law of baseball.
7. Jose Canseco
Back in his day Jose Canseco, was one half of the Bash Brothers. Taking the Oakland A's to Consecutive Appearances in the World Series. Years later he long after his baseball career fizzled he came out with a tell all book exposing the truth of baseball's steroids. Or did he. Some of his story was way out of right field. But some of it came out to be true. What makes him well he should have went to congress and open his mouth not right a sleazy freaking rushed to the discount rack trash book.
6. Sammy Sosa
Don't you recognize this guy? Yes thats Sammy Sosa formally of the Chicago Cubs. Back in 1998 him and Mark McGwire renergized baseball. Bringing it back from the ashes of a bad strike. In 2007 though his name would show up on the list of players who tested positive of steroids in 2003. Though he claims innocence, he is still a suspect of using steroids. What is a bit of an insult and more wishful thinking is Sammy said he was calmly waiting to be inducted into the hall of fame.
5. Brian McNamee
Yes thats Brian McNamee an athletic trainer and officer of the NYPD he helped acquire PEDS including anabolic steroids, amphetamines, and (HGH) for some players he personally trained. The List can go on forever Roger Clemens and Andy Pettitte just to name a couple who should be turned away from baseball. He came clean about it but the accused have attacked him for it. He is also a disgrace to NYPD.
4. Manny Ramirez
This model baseball player was suspended last season for using a women fertility drug typically used by athletes to restart a steroid users natural testosterone production. The he denied tried to deny but came clean in the
3. Roger Clemens
He was allegedly exposed by Brian McNamee for using PEDs. But he stood steadfast telling us he was innocent and yet no one resigned Clemens after the s**tstorm began. How could a pitcher of his ability maintain something for so long without steroids?
2. Barry Bonds
Now you can see the then to now the picture above says it all.
This man when he came into the league weighed 185lbs and that was 1986. When he broke the records he weighed 240lbs. Most of the weight I suspect happened between 1998 and 2001. The man got hot when most average players and even hall of famers start slowing down. His home run numbers jumped when most drop. So how can any laymen tell me this guy didn't use PEDs. Ah blinded by ESPN. Well unblind yourselves and realize he is up on federal perjury charges steaming from testimony relating to the BALCO investigation and trail. This guy stole MVPs and tarnished the baseball record book which should have been whipped clean made pure again.
1. Bud Selig
Ah the commish. This guy is the biggest waste of space since the guy the was running things before the 1919 Black Sox Scandal. Bud Selig I believe is just as guilty if not more guilty then the guys listed above. He let this happen. I am willing to bet that he had knowledge of all the PEDs in the game and did nothing about it. Instead of throwing down the iron fist he got paid. He should have set a better example then 30 60 or full year suspensions for a positive test. I hope the guy that takes over in 2011 passes law that says ons positive test you are gone for a year a second a lifetime of ineligibility. Bud Selig = incompetence.
