The Daredevils could not carry the momentum of the last two wins and finally the Mumbai Indians notched up their second consecutive win.

The last two seasons semifinalists fall 98 runs short of the victory in their third game this season. Although Mumbai Indians finished the game one-sidedly, the hot favourites were the Daredevils as they were playing on home ground and the supporters rooted for them, but couldn't take the advantage.

Once again Sachin's innings proved to be a treat to his fans, as he was at his best (as always) with his brilliant knock of 63 of 32 balls with 11 fantastic fours and was declared man of the match. He ensured a nice total on the scoreboard.

The whole MI team played as a unit and finished innings with score of 218/7 with the score being backed by brilliant performances by Saurabh Tiwary 61 of 37 balls with 3 sixes, and Rayudu with 34 of 21 balls.

Following the target, Sehwag in his as usual form could add only 26 runs in 16 balls and was caught by Rayudu on bravo's ball in seventh over and the whole team finished with 120 runs.

Though this is just the beginning of the season & still has a long way to go I hope DD will surely bounce back, but this defeat has given a lot of concern to DD as Gambhir is also doubtful for the next game because of his hamstring injury during the match and couldn't come out to bat.
