It is pretty clear that the browns are going to take a Quarterback in the draft whether it is first or second round. Because Jake Delhomme is not their quarterback of the future. he may not be there quarterback for the next two years. He may have taken the Panthers to the superbowl but right now he is not better than Brady Quinn. So drafting a quarterback would make a whole lot of sense. I think in this upcoming draft the Browns will take Jimmy Clausen. He has an above average arm and he  is the most pro ready of any quarterbacks in this years draft. Jimmy Clausen could sit behind Jake Delhomme for a season or two and learn from a veteran who went to the superbowl.

Some say Jimmy Clausen will be a bust because he was from Notre Dame just like Brady Quinn was. But Brady Quinn spent more time in the weight room then he did the film room which was one of things that probably hurt him ,and let's not forget that Quinn didn't have the talent around him to be a good quarterback. Now even though I thought the Browns made a really dumb move trading Quinn I think Holmgren will surround the talent that Clausen needs to be a great quarterback in the NFL.

Now Jimmy Clausen is hated by a lot of writers in the BleacherReport community mostly because of how cocky he is. But is that really for a quarterback to be cocky? Jeff George, Jay Cutler, Phillip Rivers are all really good quarterbacks with cockiness. The Browns aren't going anywhere with Jake Delhomme or Seneca Wallace at quarterback. The logical thing to do would be to draft Clausen in the first round.
