Landon Milbourne, shown here on the big scoreboard at the ACC Tournament in Greensboro, North Carolina this pass weekend, will need a repeat performance to keep the Maryland Terrapins in the running for the NCAA Championships.
Milbourne saved probably his best overall performance as a Maryland Terp for his last game in the ACC. Milbourne, with his parents Kaona and Andre in the stands, played almost a pefect game. He scored 15 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, recorded 5 steals had one block, one assist and no turnovers. The only thing that went wrong was that the Terps loss the game.
Although Maryland loss, 69-64 to Georgia Tech, the Terps put on a great comeback from being 19 points down. The Terps put on a great show of how defense is supposed to be played. Maryland forced many turnovers in the second half to stage a great comeback that fell just short of a victory.
The Terps, 23-8, will now have to focus on Houston, 19-15, in their first round of the NCAA Tournament Bracket. Milbourne needs one more block to be the 12th player in Maryland history to record 100 for his career. Lets hope he gets it against Houston.
