**UPDATE**: 11/14/07, 8:55 CST. Hot off the press... I have decided to road-trip this weekend! I'm heading down south, to party it up in the Grove; the world's greatest tail-gaiting experinece. I will be witnessing LSU's near melt-down, in person, and promise to report back regarding all the sights, sounds, and smells, from the biggest weekend in Oxford, MS this fall. Stay tuned for the article, but until then, enjoy my Week 12 picks...

Icon#1 Louisiana State @ Ole Miss

Ole Miss pulls out all the stops to keep it close, but in the end does not have the talent to keep up with LSU.

LSU 27, Ole Miss 20

#2 Oregon @ Arizona

Oregon's offense is just too strong for Mike Stoops' defense.

Oregon 37,  Arizona 14

#3 Oklahoma @ Texas Tech

Oklahoma beats up on a Texas Tech team that is a shell of what it has been the past few seasons.

Oklahoma 47, Texas Tech 15

Iowa State @ #4 Kansas

Kansas keeps on winning in another cupcake matchup. Spring ball will finally be over when Kansas lines up against Missouri next week.

Kansas 36, Iowa State 24

#5 West Virginia @ #21 Cincinati

West Virginia is next on the long list of Top 5 teams to fall. Cincinnati played inspired football in knocking off UConn last weekend, and keeps alive their hope to be crowned Big East champ.

Cincinnati 21, West Virginia 17

#6 Missouri @ Kansas State

Another fine performance by Chase Daniel, creating more Heisman buzz. Big showdown against Kansas for the Tigers the next week.

Mizzou 55, KState 20

#7 Ohio State @ #23 Michigan

This projection depends on the availability of Hart and Henne. Without them in the lineup for the Wolverines, Ohio State's defense has a field day.

Ohio State 42, Michigan 20

Icon Sports Media#22 Kentucky @ #8 Georgia

After a tight first half, Georgia blows this game open in the second.

Georgia 38, Kentucky 18

#9 Arizona State: Bye

Big matchup looming against USC. I'm projecting a loss. The Sun Devlis didn't look too good against a depleted 5-5 UCLA team.

Miami @ #10 Virginia Tech

Miami has nowhere to go but up after their 48-0 home loss against UVA. They play well against a sloppy VaTech team, but fall short of the upset.

Virginia Tech 17, Miami 13

#11 Southern Cal: Bye

Prepping to knock off ASU next week.

#12 Texas: Bye

Good thing they have a bye this week. Texas will need all the preparation they can get before squaring off against A&M at Kyle Field. Seriously.

#13 Hawaii @ Nevada

And then there was one. Hawaii's unbeaten streak comes to an end, and so do their BCS hopes. Brennan throws for 4 TDs, but also for 4 picks, allowing Nevada to stay in the game. Second half is all Nevada at home.

Nevada 47, Hawaii 39

Florida Atlantic @ #14 Florida

Florida has completed SEC play and has a couple of out-of-conference games to finish off their schedule. FThe Gators will be rooting for Kentucky to win out over the next two weeks to keep their SEC East hopes alive.

Florida 76, FAU 16

Icon Sports Media#18 Boston College @ #15 Clemson

"Matt Ryan" and "Heisman" will never be spoken in the same sentence again after his underwhelming performance against Clemson, who are looking to seal up a trip to the ACC title game.

Clemson 38, BC 20

#16 Virginia: Bye

Idaho @ #17 Boise State

BSU just does not lose on the Smurf Turf, especially to opponents like Idaho.

Boise State 44, Idaho 12

Vanderbilt @ #19 Tennessee

Big in-state match up. Vanderbilt, still looking to become bowl-eligible, threatens to eject Tennessee from the driver's seat in the SEC East. Vanderbilt falls just short and Tennessee maintains a perfect home record this season.

Tennessee 34, Vanderbilt 31

Northwestern @ #20 Illinois

No post-big-game letdown for Illinois. They follow their "upset" of Ohio State with a methodical dismantling of perennial Big Ten doormat Northwestern. The Fightin' Zookers improve to 9-3!

Illinois 34, Northwestern 10

Icon#24 Wisconsin @ Minnesota

Wisconsin leaves the comforts of home, only to find the running of Lance Smith and PJ Hill stopped by lowly Minnesota.

Minnesota 24, Wisconsin 23

Syaracuse @ #25 Connecticut

UConn bounces back from last week's upset at the hands of Cincinnati. There is still a n outside shot for Huskies to take the Big East title, but it will all come down to a frightening matchup against West Virginia.

UConn 31, Syracuse 9
