Well the Seahawks signed 4 year veteran WR Ruvell Martin to a one year contract today. Ruvell hasn't had a very productive career, but at 6'4" and 220 lbs he is the prototypical Carroll wideout. I'm not sure what this means as far as the Brandon Marshall move is concerned. It's possible Ruvell was signed to add depth to a WR corps that recently lost a solid (although in no ways amazing) Nate Burleson to the Lions. Another possibility is that in an attempt to further attract Charlie Whitehurst the front office is attempting to appear younger and bigger at the WR position. Regardless, expect Ruvell to still have fight for his spot on the team.
