Seahawks Sign WR Ruvell Martin

Bubba GillContributor IMarch 15, 2010

The Seattle Seahawks have added 6'4" 220 pound wide receiver Ruvell Martin.

Martin is a five year veteran. Martin was an undrafted free agent picked up by the San Diego Chargers in 2004.

He was waived in the 2004 season.

The Green Bay packers signed him in 2005.

2006 was his breakout season with the Green Bay Packers. He had 21 rec. 358 receiving yards  and 1 TD.

In 2009 he played for the St. Louis Rams. He posted very low numbers for the Rams which explains no RFA tender. He posted 6 rec. 99 receiving yards and no TD's.

His career totals are: 58 Rec, 848 recieving yards, and 6 TD.

Pete Carroll has been known to like tall wide receivers. I don't think he is the answer but he could be a piece of the puzzle.
