My friends and I like to call them "hows." As in, how did that guy get that girl?

Nearly every day, we men see a couple that leaves us scratching our heads. With the recent release of the hysterical She's Out of My League, starring funny man Jay Baruchel and the beautiful Alice Eve, I got to thinking...there have got to be some athletes with WAGS that are out of their league.

Maybe it's the money, maybe it's the fame, maybe it's really true love, but take a look at these six athletes and their much better halves.

Meet Chris Cooley

Chris Cooley's name fits him well, because anyone who follows the NFL closely knows that he is easily one of the coolest guys in the league. He runs a great blog, has been described as having an Animal House persona, and loves heavy metal music. Cooley is definitely the type of guy we'd all love to hang out with.

Christy Cooley

Chris's better half is ridiculously gorgeous. She is a former Redskins cheerleader who was dismissed from her position when it was revealed that she was dating Chris. Chris is one lucky man, and proves that a man's man can still do pretty darn well with the ladies.

Meet Mark Kotsay

Okay, Mark isn't the worse looking guy around, but he certainly doesn't look like the type of guy who'd be walking around with a smoking hottie of a wife. The 34-year old big league vet made his major league debut in 1997 with the Florida Marlins. Since then he has played for five other clubs in his 12 year big league career.

Meet Jeff Garcia

NFL veteran QB Jeff Garcia recently celebrated his 40th birthday. He has spent the last 16 years as a pro quarterback, including 11 in the NFL. Before his time in the NFL, Garcia played for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League, and most recently played for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Carmella DeCesare

Garcia's beautiful wife is of Italian and Puerto Rican decent, a combo that apparently mixes very nicely. Meet Peja Stojakovic

Serbian basketball star Peja Stojakovic is considered one of the most successful basketball players to emerge out of his home nation. The 32-year old sharp shooter has spent the last 11 seasons in the NBA, is currently a member of the New Orleans Hornets. Before entering the NBA, Stojakovic spent six seasons playing in Europe.

I hope Harris treats her better, because I'm sure there are plenty of guys waiting in line for their shot with Allen.

Meet Marko Jaric

What is it with these Serbian men? Former NBA combo guard Marko Jaric most recently played for Real Madrid, the basketball team, not the soccer club. He spent seven seasons in the NBA with the Clippers, Timberwolves, and most recently the Grizzlies.

Jaric is a two time gold medalist as a member of the former Republic of Yugoslavia at the FIBA World Championship.
