Bret Hart to Stick Around After Wrestlemania?

Jersey Strong JayCorrespondent IIMarch 13, 2010

Speculation has been circulating that Wrestlemania 26 would be the final WWE appearance for Bret "Hitman" Hart.

News has now broke that Bret Hart is scheduled to be the Special Guest Enforcer in World Heavyweight Championship Matches between Edge and Chris Jericho during the WWEtour of Germany after Wrestlemania.

Whether or not Hart will remain an on-air character is unknown.  However, I feel that it would benefit both sides for Bret to remain a member of the WWE for as long as possible.

There is no denying the in-ring experience of Bret Hart.  He served as an active competitor in the WWF from 1984 to 1997.  From there, he wrestled in WCW from 1997 until 2000.  He could serve as a road agent or help out at FCW.

He could mentor many young talents to the top.  Imagine if Bret were a coach on NXT?  It could serve for some very interesting television.

Bret is just starting to get used to being back in front of a huge crowd.  WWE hasn't even scratched the surface on what they can do with Bret creatively.

With TNA trying to "compete" with WWE, it only makes sense the WWE keep as much star power on RAW as possible.  Although TNA has launched some imaginary war, WWE should still keep their dukes up.

I could go on with the reasons Bret should stick around, but hopefully you get the point.  If WWE has Vince McMahontake one of his long sabbatical's from WWE, this could shift the focus away from Hart/McMahoncompletely after Wrestlemania and lead Bret to something totally different.

The big wrestling news sites all reported that Bret's short-term WWEcontract would end after Wrestlemania.  Now that news has broke of Bret working a tour of Germany, a country that adores The Hitman, this might be able to rekindle talks of a longer deal.

I'm not saying he should ever compete in the ring again after Wrestlemania (unless he pulls a "Ricky Steamboat" which is highly unlikely).  But he could serve in many different capacities in the WWE.

We should all hope that this really is a new beginning of Bret "The Hitman" Hart.
