The Portland Trail Blazers have been killed by the injury bug this year making blazer fans think about next year's chances and especially the offseason. While some think the blazers are good the way they are with incredible depth and good young players they still can improve. Here are my top 10 free agents the Portland Trail Blazers should look at this summer.
He wouldn't be a big upgrade but he could become a good backup to andre if jerryd bayless decides he wants to become a shooting guard.
Why not? Former teammate with Roy in Washington can become a good spark to the bench and a good backup to miller.
If Haywood decides to not re-sign with the Mavs, the blazers could use his rebounding and shot blocking game with the frequently injured Greg Oden.
Travis Outlaw was a good fit the blazers and he was very successful coming off their bench.
Joel was another good fit for Portland. He didn't the demand the ball in the post because he was a defender and he was satisfied with his minutes. He just had another surgery so he probably wouldn't be ready for opening day.
The blazers were interested in signing Lee during last offseason but he ended up re-signing with the knicks. This is their second chance to get David Lee with the knicks going to target the big free agents.
The reason why he's only number 4 is because we don't need him as much as other teams could use him. He could be that post scorer the blazers need so much though.
Steve Blake was a great fit for Brandon Roy's style of offense. He was a great passer and stretched the opposing teams defense by his ability to shoot 3's from the corner.
Marcus Camby still has a couple productive years left and hopefully those years will be with the blazers. They could use his leadership on the court and his defensive presence in the post.
Rudy Gay would be a perfect fit for the trail blazers. He could be that second or third scorer the blazers really need. Acquiring Gay can put less pressure for Roy and put the blazers into contention for the finals.
