A thought hit me—what's the most annoying thing in football?
It gave my mind the opportunity to explore the rough side of football and sport in general.
I kept on pondering over the thoughts that peered into my head. Racism? Diving? Drugs?
I couldn't reach a conclusion quickly. Could it be Disrespecting the Referee?
"Disrespecting the Referee," I repeated as Ashley Cole popped into my head and his "back towards the Referee" controversy with Mike Riley.
It is annoying, but is it the most annoying? "Most annoying," I repeated.
Brawls? Abusing the supporters? Physically abusing teammates?
Ideas, ideas, and more ideas, but no conclusion.
"Physically abusing teammates," I repeated as Joey Barton's training ground brawl with Ousmane Dabo hit me.
"Diving," I repeated as various instances of Didier Drogba going down too easily in the box came into my mind.
After an hour or so of "deep" thinking, I settled for Racism as the most annoying thing in football, and in all sports for that matter.
Zenit St Petersburg coach Dick Advocat recently said he'd never go in the market for black players.
Andrew McNair covered the story for Bleacher Report and I strongly supported his opinion.
Racism is the most pathetic thing that can happen sport. Do you agree with me? Do you think Racism is the most annoying thing in football? Is it something else? Feel free to leave a comment.

Diving and abusing the referee are two of the things I hate most (and admittedly some Chelsea players do this). Ronaldo and Gerrard are terrible for diving, and if you want an example of referee abuse then watch Chelsea 2-1 Man U in April (Ferdinand and Hargreaves).
Racism is of course a problem but I don't think it's as big a problem as it was, although there will probably always remain some sections of society that are like that. The far-right political party the British National Party (BNP) is witnessing an increase in support over here in England which goes to show that racism still isn't totally eradicated.

feigning injury, different from diving as a dive is to gain a free kick or penalty. Feigning injury is a tactic for bookings and time wasting and its pathetic. I saw some kid do it in the park recently and I just though cheers every Italien and Spanish player to do it. Its a disease

I wouldn't call racism "annoying" - it falls under the bracket of "deeply disturbing". The most annoying thing has to be players diving.

I agree! Racism is very disturbing!
Yeah and Ashley Cole and greedy players are the most annoying things in football. I absolutely despise greedy and disloyal players!
