As soon as Gary Neville whipped that ball into the box and landed on the head of Wayne Rooney it was almost inevitable that the ball was flying past a hapless Christian Abbiati in the Ac Milan goal.

Its been all such a familiar sight to united fans of late, as soon as one superstar leaves another comes to the party! Wayne Rooney's form has been nothing short of sensational this season and he is the main or the only reason why Manchester United are pushing towards yet another premier league title and another champions league final which many believe after last nights performance is on the horizon.!

After wiping the floor with an ageing Milan team, united biggest test will be to maintain that form for the next 3months if they are to come to the fore and win both premier league and champions league crowns once more, but with the likes of Chelsea and Barcelona standing in there way on domestic and continental level it will be no breeze in the park like last nights thumping of the Italian giants.
