The Eagles and former Colts defensive back Marlin Jackson have agreed to terms on a two year contract, according to the Eagles website. Jackson enters his 6th year in the league and is looking to recover from an ACL tear he suffered in 2008.

“I would be capable of doing what is needed to as a football player by mid-May, June,” he said. “By training camp, wherever I am, I’ll be ready to go full go.”

The Eagles like the versatility that Jackson provides in the defensive secondary and he is the favorite to win the starting free safety position in competition with second-year pro Macho Harris and third year pro Quintin Demps.
