As Jamie already noted this morning, we are quite sad over the loss of Elijah Dukes for at least four weeks, although likely much longer. But hold fast, playboy, Dukes might have some plans of his own. Let’s compare what the doctors be sayin’ vs. what Dukes is schemin’ on.

Bitch ass physicians:

[Reds team physician Tim] Kremchek said that Dukes will miss from four to eight weeks. Physician Koko Eaton will examine Dukes tomorrow in Tampa.

“I would be very optimistic for him to be able to come back by the beginning of September, late August,” Kremchek said.

Dr. Dukes:

“Hopefully I can come back real quick and fast. Who knows? Maybe I’ll be all right tomorrow.”

Because I value not being dead, I know better than to question Elijah Dukes. So, expect to see him hitting third in tomorrow’s line-up against the Diamondbacks.
