The new-look Boston Celtics faced big expectations coming into the 2007-08 NBA season.
They've lived up to them through the first 10 days of the campaign.
The Celts are off to a 5-0 start, the first time since 87-88, and Kevin Garnett is looking like the early-season MVP.
The Big Ticket has been a force thus far, averaging 23.8 points and 16 rebounds per game.
Paul Pierce is putting up 22.5 PPG, while Ray Allen is averaging 21.5.
Role players Eddie House and James Posey have also chipped in nicely.
Garnett is only the second player in NBA history to average 20 points and 10 rebounds in his first three games with a new team.
The other?
Sir Charles Barkley when he was traded from Philly to Phoenix.
The Celtics, for their part, are the only unbeaten team in the league. They'll put their perfect record on the line Wednesday against the New Jersey Nets.
With Miami and Washington still winless and Chicago having only managed one victory, the road in the Eastern Conference looks to run through Boston.
LeBron James led the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Finals last year with a questionable supporting cast. Who's to say Garnett, Pierce, and Allen shouldn't be able to replicate the feat with even better personnel?
