Round 1-Bruce Campbell (OT Maryland)
I have yet to hear from a Raider Nation member who didn't agree with this pick. Al Davis? Actually Drafting a 1st Rounder in the 1st Round? Are you kidding? No, but Campbell was a work out warrior, which we know Davis loves, but he is a great ZBS Pass Blocker and has potential for the run. Bruce Campbell to Raiduhs Bandwagon is gonna happen
Round 2-Vladimir Ducasse (OG UMASS)
Ducasse has been shooting up draft boards for a while. If Campbell isn't taken, this pick is a must. But Cooper Carlisle has gotten off easy for his '09 performance. He was awful. From left to right Campbell, Gallery, Satele, Ducasse, and Henderson are a sole O-line for whoever is the QB.
Round 3-Cam Thomas (DT UNC)
Not a great combine has been pushing him back. He might be there when the Raiders pick #8 in Round 3. Cam Thomas loves to stuff the middle, and a nice middle would compliment Shaughnessy and Seymour on the outsides.
Round 3- Javier Arenas (CB Alabama)- Gained by San Diego via Kirk Morrison tender
Javier Arenas provided great leadership and kick returning in the National Championship at Pasadena. Not to mention he is a solid CB, and Johnson was mediocre last season. Arenas would be good opposite Nnamdi. Johnson would make a good nickel. By the way, WTF Al? 1st and 3rd round tender on Stanford Routt??!!??
Round 3- Sean Lee (MLB Penn St.)
Speaking of Kirk Morrison, he is gone. So, the best late 3rd round LB is Sean Lee. Sean Lee had a pretty good season last year at Penn State, and he would be an upgrade at stopping the run, but pass coverage could be taken over by OLB Thomas Howard.
Round 4-Dorin Dickerson (TE Pitt)
The biggest combine warrior that wasn't Campbell was Dickerson at TE. Dickerson could be a TE for Oakland, and then maybe Oakland could move Brandon Myers or Tony Stewart to FB. Dickerson won't pass the Raiders.
Round 5-No Pick (Forefeited for 5th Round Tender on QB Troy Smith from BAL)
Troy Smith is ready to be an NFL QB. Smith had the worst luck in the world, being named Baltimore's starter in place of Flacco, only to get sick. Baltimore has never looked back. Only three years into his NFL career, he might be the Raiders future at QB. If he performs, get ready to own a #10 Smith jersey for a long, long time.
Round 7-D'Anthony Smith (DT Lousiana St.)
Al Davis gets another Workout warrior. Even though the combine was only above average, he is a freak athlete. An Al Davis pet project, he will make a great #2 with Cam Thomas one day. But for now, Tommy Kelly is good enough.
