The Chicago White Sox are coming off a disappointing 2009 campaign by finishing third in the AL Central with a record of 79-83. Ozzie Guillen is looking to put the White Sox back in the playoffs for the third time in the seven seasons that he’s managed the Sox, which includes a World Series victory not too long ago.

The White Sox have a very healthy staff and with Jake Peavy possibly heading the rotation, it will take some of the pressures off of long-time White Sox Mark Buehrle. Gavin Floyd is also looking to break out after an 11-11 year.

The White Sox did do a little bit of shopping this offseason by upgrading the hot corner with Mark Teahen. Teahen is still young and up and coming. After spending the past five years in Kansas City, he managed to hit .269/.331/.419 with 59 homers and 293 RBI. I think that Teahen might have an even better year in a brand new place with a winning attitude.
