Keith BennettCorrespondent IJune 3, 2016

The Mets future is looking good this spring. Look at the young Mets stats this spring. Ike Davis 11 hits two doubles plus another home run today. Davis was batting 571 before game 14 total bases in 14 at bats. Josh Thole two doubles 1 RBI. And Jenrry Mejia is so good and young 20 years old if fans don't know. That Mets are changing thinking about let him start at Double A ball. Mejia faced faced 11 batters on Monday. The first one, Brett Hayes singled off his right hand;no damage. Brad Davis singled in the seventh, and that was it other than the runner who reached on the fouth error in six games by Ike Davis. No body perfect but Ike hit tear the cover off baseball. But Mejia has allowed two hits and no walks and stuck out five in 5 1/3 innings.Mejia said his cutting fastball was his most effective pitch, but that, on occasion, his changeup is best pitch. Fernando Martinez went 4 for 4 one game with two home runs and three runs score. That power and speed in the outfield. Plus, Ruben Tejada could be a good backup to Reyes.  Like I said the future looks very bright For Mets fans.
