What The 49ers Should Do During The Off-Season

The San Francisco 49ers are a young growing team who have potential to run the tables in the NFC West in future seasons. However, there is deffinitaly some flaws in the current team, but luckily we have two 1st round picks on April 22nd. The big issue that everyone knows about is the OT opposite Joe Staley. Depending on how the draft goes, we may take a tackle such as Iowa's Bryan Baluga, or Rutger's Anthony Davis. There is also that possibillity that after a poor 40 time,we could land Joe Haden. This would be like last year all over again, a great value we land at a pick way too low. If we did land Haden than there would be a chance one of these stud Tackles will be on the board, but if not there would be transition man Mike Iupati. If Haden is taken, than we could go with one of these Tackles, and then get a Safety like Earl Thomas at 17.  Either scenario sounds like a benefit to me. There is some Niner fans who think we should take C.J. Spiller. I would love to have a player like Spiller, but I do not think we should use one of these picks to get him, when he would not be a primary back. Instead, we should pick up the second round tender, or negotiate a seperate trade for Jet's Leon Washington. Washington is not as fast as Spiller, but it gives us a speedy back to put in after every few Gore power runs. Also, Washington would meet the needs for our Return specialist after our hope at Darren Sproles ended when San Diego put on the high tender.

As of now I do like the team. I think another solid receiver would not hurt, but with Crabtree, and Morgan, plus Pro-Bowler Vernon Davis, receiving is not our major need. I think we need to focus on CB, S, OT, and KR in the draft and as free agency winds down
