Last year, the fans of the Boston Red Sox selected their new president, NESN announcer Jerry Remy.
Now, the six New England states have selected their Governors. Here are the new Governors of Red Sox Nation:
Connecticut: retired Connecticut Supreme Court Judge David Borden of West Hartford.
Maine: Rachel O. Yacouby of Brunswick.
Massachusetts: Jared Carrabis of Saugus. He was second runner-up for the race of Red Sox Nation President. He is only 19 years old and since 1997, he has his share of season tickets.
New Hampshire: Registered Nurse Janice Page of Henniker.
Rhode Island: Charles T. (Ted) Schmidt of Saunderstown.
Vermont: Glen Jardine of Lyndonville.
For the other 44 states and the District of Columbia, you can now put your name in for the Red Sox Nation governor until July 29. The announcement of the Governors will be announced on August 12.
