Richard Gasquet has long been regarded as one of the most talented players on the tour, the Frenchman won the 1st match of his career ages 15. Gasquet then stunned the World Number 1 Roger Federer in the Quarter Finals of the Monte Carlo Masters Series Event in 2005 winning that match 6-7 6-2 7-6. Richard Gasquet has reached the final of 2 Masters Series events, in Hamburg 2005 and Toronto 2006, losing both times to Roger Federer. Injury and controversies off the court have seen Gasquet’s ranking tumble, but the Frenchman will be looking to get back to his best in Indian Wells this week. If Gasquet can find his best form then he has the ability to upset any of the top players in California this week. Rafael Nadal is the defending champion in Indian Wells the former world number 1 beat Andy Murray 6-1 6-2 in the final last year.
