Blues Send Goalie Bacashihua to Colorado

The St. Louis Blues informed goaltender Jason Bacashihua that he has been dealt to the Avalanche. In return the Avalanche sent off a conditional 7th round pick in the 2008 NHL entry draft.

The Avalanche assigned Bacashihua down to their AHL affiliate, the Lake Erie Monsters.

The move for the Blues seems to make more room on their farm team giving Marek Schwarz more ice time in net.

The Avalanche do have a lot of goaltending prospects in their system, but one would geuss that in the event that Budaj or Theodore goes down, they have a goalie with a little more experience to back them up. With 3 goaltenders in their AHL affiliate, look for Michael Wall to head down to the CHL again this season.
