New Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari claims Frank Lampard has told him he wants to stay at Stamford Bridge. Reports suggests Chelsea have turned down an official approach for Lampard from Inter Milan.
The ex-West Ham midfielder had earlier been linked with a move to Inter Milan alongside his teammates ,Ricardo Carvalho and Didier Drogba. Chelsea has already signed Jose Bosingwa and Deco and is constantly linked with Robinho, Ronaldinho, Samuel Eto’o, and Ricardo Quaresma.
Scolari has not declined chances of Chelsea further strengthening their squad. "This time is the time to transfer, maybe we will buy some players." AC Milan, meanwhile, has reportedly told Chelsea that Kaka is "not for sale.” Jose Mourinho will certainly be disappointed on hearing this, it appears that Lampard will stay at Stamford Bridge next season.

It will be great if he decides to stay; he consistently scores around 20 goals every season and is a club legend. But if he does decide to move on then I wont begrudge him the opportunity to experience a new league and be reunted with Mourinho.
If he does stay, our midfield will be pretty crowded next season. Scolari will have a job on his hands trying to keep everyone happy.
I think Sidwell will be shipped out to Villa for around £5m and I can see Makelele going to PSG so that would lighten the load in midfield a bit.
Being able to pick a midfield from Mikel, Lampard, Ballack, Deco, Essien and whoever else comes in is a mouth-watering prospect. That's of course not taking into account players such as Kalou and Joe Cole.
Interesting times lie ahead.
