2010 MLB Preview: The Top 10 American League Rookies to Watch in 2010

Previously, I touched on 10 National League rookies to keep an eye on. Let's shift our attention over to the American League.

Last year Andrew Bailey took the closer role in Oakland. Bailey finished the season with 27 saves and a 6-3 record, earning him AL Rookie of the Year honors.

The White Sox called on Gordan Beckham to take over at third base. Beckham answered by establishing himself as a consistent hitter with sneaky power and speed.

Matt Weiters stepped in as Baltimore's everyday catcher in June. Getting off to a slow start, Weiters managed to turn things around as the season wore on. This should prove to be a breakout year for the phenom.

This year's young crop of talent is ready to take the big stage and make some noise in the major leagues. Here are 10 players that should be on your radar for 2010.
