Houston Alexander (9-6) is reportedly considering a return to action against Seth Petruzelli (11-4) at the upcoming Moosin MMA event on April 23 from the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts.

This fight was reported earlier today by the Boston Herald, and later confirmed by Petruzelli on his Twitter account.

The fights is promoted by former boxer "Butterbean", and is also said to be on a card with another former UFC fighter. Tim "The Maniac" Sylvia vs. five-time World's Strongest Man champion Mairusz Pudzianowski is also rumored for this event.

Houston Alexander has dropped five of his last six fights, including the hyped match up between him and Kimbo Slice at The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale last December. He just hasn't been the same since his UFC debut, when he upset Keith Jardine, viciously knocking him out in the first round.

In and out of the UFC, Alexander hasn't had much success in recent fights. Mostly due in part to his one dimensional fighting style.

Nobody knew who Seth Petruzelli was until he subbed in for Ken Shamrock at the last minute to fight Kimbo on national television.

Everybody knows Petruzelli now as, "that guy that beat Kimbo". Not only did he beat Kimbo, he embarrassed him.

Petruzelli beat Kimbo in 14 seconds on the Elite XC: "Heat" card in October, 2008.

Seth Petruzelli was released by the UFC in 2007, and has won his last three fights since then.

Since Petruzelli has confirmed this fight, saying he had "a contract in hand". I'm expecting this to take place in Boston on April 23.
